Programme
The programme aims:
- to provide advanced skills in managing tourism systems, both in homogeneous and integrated contexts which may cover territories belonging to more than one region. Major focus will be on tourist systems which exploit the interaction of natural, cultural, environmental and artistic resources through a network of individual or associated tourism businesses;
- to provide specialized skills in designing and managing communication in multimedia environments;
- to provide specialized skills in managing tourism flows;
- to provide advanced skills in managing hospitality businesses which promote cultural and environmental services;
- to provide advanced skills in promoting, selling and managing complex tourism products through the new ICT technologies;
- to form professionals capable of planning and implementing new solutions meant to improve the offer of tourism services through the revaluation of areas that are already subject to high levels of tourism. Particular emphasis is placed on localities that actively promote their natural resources, cultural heritage and environment through the creation of new sustainable tourism opportunities;
- to form professionals capable of identifying the main socio-anthropological features of destinations and cultures in order to promote forms of sustainable tourism;
- to provide skills in planning and implementing cultural events, exhibitions and conferences (concerts, art exhibits, meetings, fairs);
- to provide communicative skills suitable for the development and management of tourism systems;
- to acquaint students with the new technologies for the management of cultural events and museums and for multimedia activities;
- to provide skills for the management and the promotion of cultural productions (cinema, theatre, concerts, video clips, TV programmes);
- to provide specialized skills for designing culturally-oriented projects promoted by public institutions;
- to provide advanced skills in spoken and written English for specific purposes (business English and English for tourism).
Programme outline and methodologies
The programme has an interdisciplinary approach in terms of both content and methodology.
Italian is the official language of the courses. Some courses might be held also in English or French.
Key features of the Campus Formula are limited enrolment and mandatory attendance. This guarantees an intensive and personalized learning experience, in close contact with the instructors and the tutors. |
