First level degree
The first level degree course is intended for:
- Italian citizens and citizens of other Mediterranean countries in possession of a high school diploma
- Highly-motivated students with a good knowledge of computers, a good level in English, and who have passed their final high school exam with excellent grades.
- Students from linguistic, classical and scientific high schools. The importance placed on the humanities, in addition to that given to the more technical subjects, makes the programme a suitable choice for students from the “Licei”.
First Level Degree Course Programme Outline
Programmes
The degree course in Tourism Sciences offers two distinct programmes of study which share a common core:
1. Business and Economics – The students will focus on:
- tourism economics and statistics
- design and management of tourism businesses.
2. History, Art and Social Sciences - The students will focus on:
- developing and exploiting tourism resources (cultural and food-related tourism, exhibits, events, theme parks, ecotourism)
- the promotion of the territory
- tourism communication for public and private organizations (e.g. paper and electronic publishing).
Specialization in the two programmes occurs for the most part during the third year, through separate exams and/or a different valuation of the credits earned in the common subjects.
